Bird Window Strike Prevention

How I ended up making window decals to stop bird strikes.

I have always loved animals, so I was horrified when I started to hear the horrible thud of birds hitting the windows. I had moved into a beautiful home, with a beautiful garden setting where the view from every window was filled with trees, bushes, flowers, and many birds. But that awful sound was so horrible, because I knew that the outlook was probably grim. I would run out to see if I could save the poor thing, but most often, it was too late. They could see the secret garden reflected in the windows and would try to fly to it.

The crashes occurred at least once a week! If I kept the shades closed, it helped a little, but it still happened. If I let the windows get dirty it would help, but it still happened. I trimmed bushes away from the windows and removed the houseplants, and it still happened. I purchased the cute decals that were supposed to help, but it still happened because to work, I would have had to have wallpapered the windows with them. I studied about the problem and I started experimenting with different types of things that could be scattered all over the window. I didn’t like having my view diminished, and so when I finally created the perfect decals, the problem was solved. I can put them all over the window, 8 to 10 inches a part, and I barely notice the decals. The birds can now see the window as the decals color shift and flash, and I think they look pretty.

I offer the decals for sale on Etsy from time to time. Here is a link: https://caringcontent.etsy.com
